Depends on how big both are. Never breed a larger male to a smaller female.

I won’t even get into why you would not want to do this. You are gonna get a lot of nasty answers, so just be prepared.

No, dog breeding is never safe, especially with toys and brachycephalic breeds like Shih Tzu and Pekingese. Those breeds are notorious for birth complications and needing C-sections.

Breeding dogs should not be undertaken lightly. Popular breeds are subject to a large number of genetic diseases which should be tested for. Small breeds should always have their knee x-rays sent to OFA to test for luxating patellas, a degenerative disorder that is commonly passed to puppies.

Aside from health issues, there is an overpopulation issue. Dogs from careless breedings often end up in shelters because of a lack of homes available. Your friends may say they want a fluffy puppy, but may change their mind or get overwhelmed and the now adult dog ends up in an animal shelter.

Learn more about dog breeding and genetics and if you are serious about breeding, buy some quality dogs from responsible breeders and do the necessary titling and health testing before you decide to breed.

holy jeez, how many more breeds can you get mixed in there. no offense but all you’re doing is breeding mutts that are going to end up in shelters. they won’t be one of those “designer” dogs that people are all obsessed with (like maltipoos or whatever else). i just don’t see how it could be a good idea.

Why do you want to breed mutts? Aren’t there already too many in shelters! Get the dogs spayed/neutered, don’t be a moron. Because of people like you, millions of dogs are euthanized every year.

No a teacup poodle is just a fancy way off calling him a runt. Teacups are way too small for the breed standard, and they often have or carry health problems that will be passed onto the puppies.
Also I know the puppies could make you a lot off money, but they aren’t money making machines, they are your pets.
If you do breed them are your prepared too pay up tooo $2000 for an emergancy c-section? The large Pekingese heads often get stuck in the birth canal, which if not caught soon enought could kill her and the litter.

Please love your pets as pets and have them spayed and neutered

It might be safe but why would you want to. I feel it might be a bit irresponsible to breed mix breed and perpetuate mix breeds as wonderful and loving as they might be. One should improve the breed and add to it.

No it is never safe to breed mutts, especially if there are thousands of them waiting in shelters for a home.
