Sure they will as long as they are neutered. I have 3 boys living together now and more to come as I can save them…..

Why would you get a teacup maltese anyway? Oh, that's right, because people who get "teacups" care about looks and not the health of their dog.

The Shih-tzus are known for being aggressive. But, it depends on the dogs. If they are fixed and you have them trained and socialized, they stand a better chance of getting along.

i have 2 male dogs now and they are best of friends. My suggestion is to have your current dog pick the new one. Have them play a few times before you make a final decision. If they play and seemingly get along, then go for it.

It does not matter if they are male or female!!! It just depends on what your dogs attitude is towards other dogs and if the 2 dogs grow up together. Neutering them will help. Oh and if you get a female, dfinately fix both or at least one of them b/c you do not want little Malt- Shitzs do you???

when u get the pup don't introduce it on the other dogs terf take them somewhere nutral terroritor if things are going dood then bring onto property if still going good then in the house but keep watch on them as far as the sex he may not like a female either depends on ur dog.

depends, but they should be fine.

well i would just make sure they get along first
maybe introduce them before you make any promises on keeping one
i had a female and male chow and they fought alot because the female wanted to be the alpha dog
so ya i would just have them meet before
p.s.

I have two male dogs and they get along fine. A German Shep born on July 12, 1998 and a Golden Rottie born sometime in September 1999. The German Shep picked out the Golden Rott tho. He decided we were adopting him. Let your Shih-tzu pick the pup out of the litter that he will get along with. He will act the loving Daddy then and put up with Junior's nibbling and pouncing and general puppiness.

two boys can def get along i know someone with 2 males and its fine

It depends on the kind of dogs. Google it.

I have two male dogs…and they get along great.
Best to neuter all the animals you have, and don't be fooled by the "tcup" label (it's a lie for breeders to get more money for their small, unhealthy litters)….Maltese are small enough as is anyway.

Yes they can get along with each other. My Uncle has dogs most of them are male and some are female. The males get along well with each other.

Oh and make sure both boys are neutered…
Good Luck

A lot of it depends on how dominant the dogs are. If they are runts, chances are they'll get along fine. If both are dominant, they'll scrap and the best that you could hope for is an uneasy truce. If one is more dominant and the other a runt, then you could expect the occassional flair up.
I would get them both neutered. And you may want to take your dog to meet the new one before you get it. Some dominant males do not tolerate puppies at all.

I have two males, a Chi/Rat Terrier and a Beagle. I also have two females, both Pit Bulls. They all get along great. The drive me crazy when they get to running through the house play fighting. Lots of noise.

Two males can absolutely get along. Just make sure that they are both fixed. The only thing that you need to be ready for is them fighting for dominance. I have two males, one is 4 yrs old(Dudley) and one is 8 yrs old(Tommy), we got Dudley as a puppy and adopted Tommy about 2 yrs ago. When we brought the new male in, because he was new, bigger and older, Dudley felt threatened and had to fight for dominance. Tommy has been shown who is boss but they still have little spats when Tommy wants to play and Dudley doesn't.

I have 3 shih tzus, 2 males and 1 female and they all get along very well. In fact the 2 males often sleep against one another. The female is spayed but the males un-neutered.

You'll be better off getting a female dog a lot of males get very aggressive with another male in the house. This doesn't happen much with the opposite sex. Unless he's nueatered.
