How many puppies will my pregnant shihtzu have?

And before anyone starts on the "breeding issue" ..she is already pregnant..I did save her from a shelter..and she was scheduled to be fixed after her heat..

I have a one year old Shih Tzu, I would take your dog to a vet for a check up, the vet could tell you. Do you know how far along she is, or who(what breed the father was)? If it was a larger dog your dog could have problems with the delivery(my Shih Tzu is only 11lbs I could NEVER imagine her having puppies, she is one herself) talk to your vet and have her have a checkup.Hopefully your dog will be ok, and once the pups are born please do get her fixed so that she won't have any more pups, again I hope your dog is ok.

    Puppies are always born 63 days later. They most of time come out on the eveing or overnight hours. So you will peobaly goin to stay up late. probaly she will have 5-8 puppies.
