How many times can you bathe a shih tzu?

I have a 7 month shih tzu, who loves to play outside , but everytime he comes back inside he stinks . I wash him up atleast every other 4-6 days . I know sometimes you can overdry hes skin, but i hate to restric him from jumping in my bed when hes stinky , How many days should i wait until i bathe him?

Every 2 weeks is bettere for their skin & coat. I use "Fresh N Clean" shampoo, conditioner & deodorant spray on the dogs in my shop and owners LOVE it. It (smell) stays with them for almost 2 weeks and the cologne/deodorant is great for in betweens or freshen ups. You can get it at Petsmart.

    shih tzu needs to have a bathe only once in a week.

    My shih tzus don't go outside, but they get a bath at least once a week, sometimes more. Try buying some of that groomer's cologne; it's like the stuff a groomer sprays on your dog to make him smell good. You can get it at walmart. Just spray him whenever he gets stinky, and keep your bathing schedule.

    I give my shih tzu bath every weekend. Rest of the days if he smells i spray dog's deo spray(available in any pet store) on him. And once a month take him to grooming.
