How long will it takes for a shih tzu to grow back their fur if i shave all of them?

I have a shih tzu which has a dull, dry & has little fur. It doesn't seems like shih tzu which has double coating fur. I was thinking to shave all of his fur and let it grow back a new one.

Welcome to the wonderful world of poorly bred Shih Tzu pups. First, get your dog to the vet to see if she has any worms or any other health issues. Second, change his food to a high quality food like Wellness or Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul. Third, make sure that he doesn't have any fleas or ticks, and keep him on preventatives for them.

Many Shih Tzu have serious allergies that affect their coats. Once the allergies are recognized, food, fleas, etc. and treated, the coat usually comes back. Good luck to you!

NO NO NO!! you dog either has a medical problem such as thyroid, fleas, a skin problem or you are feeding crap for food.

get her on a good holistic food & I'll be you see improvement in a couple weeks.

take her to the vet for blood work but do not shave her.

It sounds like your dog has a systemic problem that needs to be diagnosed from a vet. Shaving the coat off won't make it grow back in better if there is something else wrong with it. The dog could have a thyroid problem, heart problem, another type of skin/coat problem or a vitamin or nutrition deficiency.

The dog doesn't need to be shaved. It sounds like a possible food allergy. Change the food to a high quality one without corn, wheat or soy and that may make a big difference.

Don't shave him. Take him to a vet to see if there is a medical reason the hair is like it is. Often special shampoos or medicine can help greatly.
