How long is a typical shih tzu pregnancy?

My mini Shih Tzu is pregnant and I was just wondering if anyone knows how long the typical shih pregnancy is. My little girl kisses was 7 lbs and now she is 15 lbs.

The lengthy of time for a beeotch to carry a litter to term is 60 days. It matters not if you have a great Dane or a teacup poodle, this does not change.

Has she gone into heat? Or has she just gained weight? I cannot imagine you would not notice if she was in heat. The signs cannot be ignored. Between the drops of blood and allll those crazy males circling you the moment you walk outside, you would know.

    A shih tzu pregnancy is the same length as any other dog pregnancy. A dog's gestation is about two months.

    Well my Pekingese dog is about the same size as a typical shihtzu and she was pregnant for 6 months. I would say that your dog will have about the same length of pregnancy as mine did, but to know for sure, you should take your dog to a vet or you could do some research on-line. Good Luck!!

    gestation period in dogs is about 63 days,,,, and there is no such thing as a MINI shih tzu,,,,,,, please spay her if she indeeds survives this ordeal,,, be prepared,, she may need c-section,, since she is genetically not up to par ( you yourself said mini)
