Hello, I just rescued this poor dog. When I found her, her fur was very bad. It was very tangled all over her body and her face was covered with tangles too. She was cover in grass and dirt. I don’t have experience with smaller breeds or dogs with high maintenance fur. So far I went to the vet and got her three shots and went to petco to fix her fur. I took her to my friend’s house because she owns a shih tzu, both dogs look very similar, the only difference was that this dog is an inch taller. What do you guys think she is mix with? She’s 9.5lb with white/brown fur.
Llasa Apso looks really similar to Shih Tzu. I am no expert that's why I'm asking you guys haha. Thanks for your help.

I just measured her, her length is 9-9.5 at shoulder length. According to akc shih tzu can be 8-11 inches. My friend is convince that she's a mix, but I don't see the difference between her and a pure bred shih tzu. Another thing that I notice is that her temprament is REALLY calm. She does not bark or run, she sleeps all day. The vet thinks she's around 3. She's a joy. Thanks for your input.
Yep, sure looks like a shih tzu to me, i have 2 and I really dont see a mix. Check with your vet to make sure… Nice of you to rescue the dog!!!!!! Congrats you have a lovely furball to look after now, Good Luck!
Yup… sure looks like one. My next door neighbors have one, and I "dog sit" all the time.
Same facial features as that dog.
I don't really see a mix in there… She looks pure to me, exact same features as the pure bred that I sit.

Yeah it looks like she may have been crossed with a Llasa Apso

Didn’t the vet know? Looks more like a Lhasa apso to me. But that is just my opinion.

Yeah she looks like a Shih Tzu. She could also be mixed with a Maltese or a Poodle. Cuddos to you for rescuing her!

I have a lot of Shi Tzu and let me tell you that could be a mix. However seems to me that you are ready to make her part of your life and congratulations!!! for what you did.!!! People like you make a difference in this world. !!!! I love dogs and I have a dog exactly like that and it’s a girl also she is a mix.

Oh she’s adorable! She looks a lot like mine. I want to say that she’s 100% Shih-Tzu.. Her face and body are exact – and all of my Shih-Tzus have had those big lovable alien eyes.
