It's not a matter of being against mixed breeds (I personally own and love three adorable mutts)…It's a matter of being against the promotion of designer breeds and irresponsible breeding practices. You should never get a mixed breed dog from a breeder or pet store as these are backyard breeders/puppy mills/ignorant people.

Check your local shelters and rescue groups. They may have the kind of mix you are interested in.

I find it odd that someone who just joined today, hasn't answered any questions, posts a question about some mixed breed, a designer breed at that, and immediately says something about people being against mixed breeds. I hope you aren't trying to stir up trouble.

I love the shih-tzus and I love the pugs. Too me, mixing these two breeds is a crime against these beautiful dogs. I am glad you cannot find one. Please learn more about each breed and make a choice, you'll be happy you did.

You should have a hard time finding them. They are a mixed breed dog. Those breeding them are irresponsible and unethical. They shouldn't even be produced at all. I am actually glad that you are having a hard time finding one.. it means that people are maybe slowing down some breeding mutts if they are getting harder to find.. You can however find them in your local shelter.. That's where they end up when people get sick of having a hard time training them, or sick of the behavioral problems.. Sick of the health issues and can't afford to pay the vet.. So whether you like to hear it or not, it's a good thing that you can't find yourself a badly bred mutt..
