Please try petfinder.com or another rescue/shelter resource. The purchase of a back-yard breeder pets helps to perpetuate the number of animals that are killed each year. Many shelters/rescues will help get the dog to you even if it isn't in your area. Do some research first; it breaks your heart what happens to these animals.

There is a family in Goodman, Missouri that raises Shih Tzus, they had been selling them to a place in florida. I got my Charley there and he is doing fine. They are reasonable, something like $200 to $300, female are the highest. Goodman is about 45 miles South of Joplin, Mo.
