How can I tell if my Shih Tzu Pup is actually a Shih Tzu
My Shih Tzu is 4 months old and was bought as a genuine Shih Tzu and registered with the Kennel Club as a Shih Tzu by the breeder but on two occasions now I have been told that it most probably is a cross with a terrier of some kind because of the coarseness of its coat. How can I tell for sure if he is a genuine Shih Tzu

actually,there are no real pure-blood shih tzu around.most shih tzus around has a trace of other dogs in the blood.it is now rare to actuall find a true blood shih-tzu around.so it's not in question that you have a terrier in your shih-tzu;s blood.more likely,it has some other dog breeds too in it.

I found these sites below regarding shih tzu pups…bless them. One of them does look a little terrier like but states its a shih tsu so probably just somehting to do with the ancestors/gentics in the doggy family.
If you have all the proper pedigree information and paperwork then i a shih tzu he/she is.
Sometimes people don't know what they are talking about and will say anything to strike up conversation…especially if your pups a cutey! Lol x

if bought from reputable breeder and it comes with certificate then thats it. but if the vet says its not pure then you need to get refund from store were you bought it.
