theres no way you will get a maltese/shih-tzu puppy from a responsible breeder because whoever breeds mutts is NOT responsible…my grandmother insisted on buying a "shih-poo" and he now has terrible health issues.

Get one from a shetler not a so called "breeder" no responsible breeder will breed a mutt. ONLY byb and puppymills breed these dogs. So please adopt one and save a life. And DO NOT call it a "desinger breed". I suggest looking up both breeds and expect any/all characteristics. When breeding mutts you never know what to expect.

Worked at no-kill shelter for 3 years.
Malteses are stubborn and love a lot of attention. They need to be groomed very often unless you cut their hair really short.
They don't need that much excercise because they are lap dogs but if you like to excercise then they will tolerate if you don't please excercise them anyway! They are good with children/ babies and have wonderful personalities!
