maltese/shih-tzu gave birth still curious?

my maltese/shih-tzu gave birth this morning and i am curious to know should her stomach be flat, should the babies be feeding all the time?? can anyone help please.

More info please…

How many pups did she have? Is that number the same as the number on the x-ray/Ultra sound that you had with your vet while she was pregnant?

What did your breeding mentor say about her stomach? Were they there with you during the birth? Do you have their phone number handy to call them and ask and express your concerns?

    Call your vet.

Yet another BYB that doesn’t have a clue about breeding and bred her poor dog.

It’s amazing how many BYB’s are asking questions today.

Another litter of unwanted mutts being born … UGH!

It will be a miracle if the puppies live. MAYBE give them a chance and EDUCATE yourself!!!!!

If she has had all of her puppies, yes, her tummy will appear “flat” now. If it still looks “full” it may mean that a puppy is still caught inside of her and can’t get out.

The puppies should be nursing and sleeping on-and-off all day for several weeks. If they’re not nursing, there’s a problem.

If you have any questions, call your veterinarian immediately.

If you have questions, you better off to ask your vet or breeding mentor. Also, you should be prepared on taking care of puppies and mother once you know she’s pregnant.

Young puppies nurse alot & sleep all the time. Remember to call the vet & have him/her do a post whelping exam on mom & puppies.
