   It will be expensive. Small breeds are increasing rapidly in popularity and are very expensive.

   Try a local shelter. They are bound to have a dog you like. There's no need to pay an irresponsible "breeder" tons of money for a mix breed when you can go to the shelter and pay less and get a better, more grateful and more loyal dog.

   Regardless of money, save yourself the heartache and don't buy from a pet store! Find a reputable breeder, meet the puppies and parents and get a health guarantee.

   Don't know how much a mutt goes for over there but you can go to the pound and get one for the price of adoption and spay/neuter. Why pay big $$$ for a mixed breed that you can get from the pound.

   I would not recommend buying any dog from a "store". More often than not these poor puppies are from a rundown puppy mill and have never been to a vet in their life. As far as getting a small mixed breed dog such as you have mentioned, they are now considered by many as a "designer dog" and can run you more money than getting a pure bred dog. If you are serious about getting a small mixed breed, check out your local animal shelter. I watched a report on the Today Show about these "designer dogs" and the starting price on the dogs was around $1200.00 and up.

   Privately you will pay between $200 – $350 but pet stores ask anything up to $750.

   im QLD!!!! ok so u gotta look at rspca adoptapet.org.au
   then if they dont hav look at the trading post or the newspaper , then they usually hundreds or free not sure

   i hav a maltese poodle!! he looks like a giant maltese
