I have half shih tzu/maltese puppies almost 5 weeks and have their teeth poking through do i wean them yet?
I tried to give them some mushy almost soupy puppy food they have some interest at first after a couple lick they want no more, is this normal should i be more aggressive
You should've started the weaning process at 3-4 weeks old, feeding them small amounts of the mush at a time, then over the next 4 weeks slowly increased the amount of solid food fed while decreasing the amount of time they're allowed to nurse. They should be fully weaned by 6-7 weeks.
Try to get them to eat the solid food, and cut back on the amount they nurse from momma.

What you should have done is had your dog spayed and not brought more pups into a world that is filled with unwanted dogs.
You don't know anything about weaning your dogs but you thought you knew enough to breed them? Genius

Now is when you start introducing soft food to them a few times a day but still allow them to nurse momma. They will not be able to be totally weaned until at least 8 weeks. The more they will eat the less they will nurse mom until they gradually stop with mom completely.
They need to be wormed now if you have not already done it and in the next week or two they will need the first Parvo, distemper shot

try giving them some cooked minced fish make sure all the bones are out ,dont use tinned fish as it has too much oil.if the mother is still with them take her away for about 2 hours before you feed them they should be hungry then.
good luck
