how do i train my maltese/shih tzu pup?she is 4 month?

Shih Tzus are not hard to train at all. In fact, they have been the easiest dog I have had to train. But since you have the mix of the Maltese, it could be hard.

The key to any training is PATIENCE and PERSISTENCE. Training does not happen over night.

What exactly did you want to train your pup to do? Potty? or tricks?

you probly arent going to like this but i trained 3 dogs this way keep a newspaper rolled up with a rubber band around it to hold it rolled together when you see puppy goin on the floor whap his butt a couple of times and sit him outside and while you are whippin him you have t say bad doggy it takes about 2-3 weeks of this and he will start going to the door when he has to go potty and puppies usually have to pee about once an hour due to small bladder- you have to be persistent and stay on top of things otherwise he will keep doing it cause he thinks its ok but if gets punished for going in the house he will stop also keep some doggy treats for when he does go outside if he knows he will get rewarded he will catch on a lot faster

shih tzus are hard to train….
    But so is our yorkiepoo-schnauzer

We started it out lik with "sit, lie down," you have to give a hand motion and a word so the dog remembers…. Our dog is only 14 months old, weve only had her 4 3 months…. But we taught her how to sit, shake, lie down, roll over, stay, and actually even hop around on 2 legz……… strangely…. itz not that hard
type in"how to train your dog" on google
and also try on youtube, "dog tricks"
doing trix makes your dog more obedient
give them treats for obedience, punish them 4 disobedience… The former owners of our dog didn't train her at all, and she learned everything, even goign to the door and sitting when they need to go
    Hope this helpz….
