I live in the Houston,texas 77070 area and I found an abandoned Shih-Tzu looks terrible.What kind of

shelter should I take it too? I need a place that wont kill him.Look like the dog needs medicine,haircut,and care.

call the houston spca they will take in abandoned animals and are a no kill facilty.

Contact the Shih-Tzu Club of America. They should be able to get you in touch with a Shih-Tzu Rescue.

most no-kill shelters are full to capacity.

You could try an actual rescue instead of a shelter.. http://www.petfinder.com..

or advertise that he needs a good home in the paper.

Please contact Shih Tzu rescue. Here is a list of regional coordinators. I'd be willing to bet they have contacts in the Houston area. I'd start with nearby states or contact the rescue chair. Good luck and thanks for rescuing him.

Look in your yellow pages for a no kill shelter. Every community should have one. The police or fire department might be able to give you that info.

I live 6 hrs away from huston and If i am not leaving soon i will adopt her/him. I had a shihtzu but i sold her before we left korea and i really miss her and i feel sad everytime i remember her. So bad i cant have pet again right now or else i will take care and love her/him. Good luck for looking a good home for her/him.
