I have two 3 month old sister shih tzus. We got them when they were 7 weeks old and they have always shared a kennel. Recently I was told it would be best to separate them and give them each their own kennel? Thoughts? We work during the day so except for lunch hour they are in the kennel 830 t0 415 on weekdays.
Personally I think they are being kenneled for way to long.. My suggestion is to gate off an area of the home (such as the kitchen) and doggie proof it instead of kenneling them for so much time out of the day.. As far as getting a second kennel… the dogs need their own space that they can go to get away from everyone.. I really hope you consider gating an area of your home for your pooches… They are small dogs anyways so they can’t cause to much destruction

I just asked the question about canidae dog food, and my dogs are shih-tzus and since i am them on science?
Tuesday, August 19th, 2008diet there ears have been flaky, coat looks dry and they only eat it when hungry the breeder had them on some cheap soft food from the dollar store so i took them off of that, should i switch them to canidae?
Definately make the switch.

is it ok for my 3 year old male shih-tzus nose to be like this?
Monday, August 18th, 2008his nose is like always dry, its never wet.he is VERY healthy and everything.im just curious.his nose gets wet when he gets really excited and happy and everything though:]
i loove him!
well actually he turns 4 in the 13 of this month at 12:06 pm :]]
crusty like being able to peel it off??
is it bcuz hes hungry??that little fattie is always hungry!i feed him, and like 1 hour later hes hungry.and i feed him perfectly!
I have a 3 year old Pug. His nose is the same way. Our vet said the dryness itself isn't going to hurt him. He said we shouldn't worry unless it starts to bleed, peel or if it starts to hurt. What did worry him was bacteria. The cracks make it easier to get in and that ups the chance for infection. He said we could put Vaseline on his nose, once a day, and that should help with the dryness.
What is the better breed overall? Shih Tzus, Pugs or Chihuahuas?
Monday, August 18th, 2008I already have two miniature dachs and we don't seem to get along very well so I'm considering getting another toy breed.
Not Chihuahuas for sure! Probably the pug, they have nice personalities
