Mr. Kasey-James is a survivor Shih Tzu.

This is Mr. Kasey James, he was rescued at about 6 months of age, a few months later we discovered he had parvo….we were one of the very few lucky parents that had a dog survive this horrible preventable condition.  Of course we had on-going medical conditions for about 8-months but today he is about 2 & 1/2 years old, very loving and happy and most importantly healthy.  We couldn’t imagine our lives without him.

I fell in love with the Shih Tzu when I acquired my first little girl over 10 years ago, she is still going strong and is the boss of the group. I have added many more throughtout the years, we now have 6 loving, wonderful Shih Tzu. This is their 2008 Christmas picture.

Spezi is a special and very lucky little Shih Tzu.

spezi is 2 3 Spezi is a special and very lucky little Shih Tzu.

a very lucky little loved one.

We got our little girl Nov. 11, 2005. She was 8 weeks old. I fought for a puppy for 12 years and finally my husband gave in. On the way home my husband sat in the back seat with her and kept calling her “Spezi”. He is from Austria and told me the name “Spezi” is given to a best friend and it also means special or treasure in German. I said that would be her name. We both fell in love with her immediately and she has been our “little girl” since that day. We almost lost her to the “bad food” and had to take her to the Vet College in Gainesville (80 mile drive) five times until they finally were able to get her to respond to treatment. We are so lucky to still have her and she is such a joy. Our friends say if there is such a thing as reincarnation, they want to come back as our dog. She goes for a golf cart ride every night and sleeps with us. She understands almost everything we say and is able to communicate her wants and needs. We love her soooo much.

Happy Shih Tzu owner.
